LATEST INSIGHTS

What we are learning in the work.

The useful lessons usually appear while something is being built, migrated, connected, debugged, or operated. Those are the lessons worth documenting.

FIELD NOTES

Short lessons from real implementation work.

Not everything needs to become a long article. Field Notes capture smaller technical decisions, migration lessons, configuration discoveries, and problems worth remembering.

WORDPRESS

A successful migration does not mean the site is verified.

Database import, files, DNS, forms, cron, transactional email, redirects, integrations, and front-end behavior should still be checked independently.

AWS

Containers do not remove the need for persistent storage.

Stateless application containers and stateful application behavior need different treatment. WordPress uploads are a simple example of why architecture still matters.

AUTOMATION

A failed email should not undo the business transaction.

Secondary actions should fail safely. Booking creation, payment, status updates, and other core transactions should not depend on a notification succeeding.

SOFTWARE

Permissions belong in the data layer too.

Hiding a button is a user-experience decision. Preventing unauthorized access belongs at the database or server layer.

PRACTICAL GUIDES

Longer references for bigger decisions.

Guides are built around decisions businesses actually face: migration, hosting, custom software, automation, and connected systems.

HAVE A SPECIFIC PROBLEM?

Reading is useful. Sometimes it is easier to look at the actual system.

If you are dealing with a website, workflow, application, integration, migration, or infrastructure problem, tell us what is happening. We’ll help determine the right place to start.
