CUSTOM SOFTWARE / SYSTEMS & API INTEGRATIONS
Make your systems
work like one system.
MWorks connects websites, applications, CRM, payments, databases, automation, and external platforms so information moves reliably between the systems your business already depends on.
SYSTEM & API INTEGRATION
From $3,500
A GOOD FIT
When the software works, but the handoffs do not.
Integration is often the better answer when the business already has useful systems, but employees are manually moving information, records are duplicated, or one platform cannot trigger the next part of the process.
01
The same data is entered twice
Staff copies customer, order, project, billing, or other information between applications manually.
02
Systems hold conflicting records
Different platforms contain different versions of customer, product, transaction, or operational data.
03
One event should trigger another system
A payment, order, form submission, CRM change, status update, or application event needs to initiate another action.
04
Staff works around missing integrations
Exports, imports, spreadsheets, email, and manual copying are filling gaps between otherwise useful tools.
05
Customer actions need internal updates
Website or portal activity should create, update, assign, bill, notify, or trigger work inside the business.
06
Replacing everything would be wasteful
The current systems already solve important parts of the problem and should be connected rather than discarded.
INTEGRATION PATTERNS
Different systems need different ways to connect.
The correct architecture depends on the systems involved, how quickly information must move, which platform owns the data, and what should happen when something fails.
01 / REST API
Direct API Integration
One application sends or retrieves information through another system's API for immediate, controlled data exchange.
02 / WEBHOOKS
Event-Driven Integration
One system announces that something happened — such as a payment, order, or record change — and another process responds automatically.
03 / SYNC
Data Synchronization
Keep selected information aligned between systems on a schedule or in near real time, with defined rules about which system wins.
04 / MIDDLEWARE
Integration Layer
Use an intermediary workflow or service to validate, transform, route, and coordinate information across several systems.
05 / FILE EXCHANGE
Structured Import & Export
When APIs are unavailable, controlled CSV, file, or scheduled data exchange may still remove a large amount of repetitive manual work.
06 / CUSTOM
Custom Integration Service
Build a dedicated service when authentication, transformation, business logic, volume, or workflow complexity requires more than a simple connector.
DATA OWNERSHIP
Connecting systems does not mean every system should own the data.
A reliable integration needs clear ownership. Before synchronizing information, MWorks defines which system is authoritative, which systems receive copies, and what happens when records disagree.
01 / SOURCE
Define The Source Of Truth
Decide which platform owns the authoritative customer, payment, order, account, inventory, or operational record.
02 / DIRECTION
Define The Direction
Determine whether data flows one way, both ways, or only for selected fields and specific business events.
03 / CONFLICTS
Define Conflict Behavior
Decide what should happen when records differ, required data is missing, or one system rejects an update.
PRODUCTION RELIABILITY
The happy path is only part of the integration.
Real systems time out, reject requests, rotate credentials, change payloads, send duplicate events, and occasionally become unavailable. Production integrations need to account for that.
01
Authentication
Handle API keys, OAuth, service accounts, tokens, scopes, expiration, and credential storage appropriately.
02
Validation & Transformation
Check incoming information and translate data formats, field names, values, identifiers, or schemas between systems.
03
Duplicate Protection
Prevent repeated webhook delivery or retries from unintentionally creating duplicate transactions, records, or actions.
04
Retry & Exception Handling
Retry temporary failures where safe and move persistent errors into a visible exception path.
05
Logging & Monitoring
Record important events and failures so integration problems can be investigated instead of silently losing data.
06
Version & Change Management
Account for API changes, deprecated endpoints, vendor updates, and evolving external dependencies over time.
THE PROCESS
Define the data flow before writing the connector.
Integration work begins with understanding the systems, data ownership, authentication, available APIs, workflow requirements, and what needs to happen when something fails.
Map The Systems
Identify source and destination systems, available APIs, webhooks, authentication, data, and the current manual process.
Define The Integration
Establish source of truth, event flow, field mapping, transformation rules, failure handling, and security.
Implement & Connect
Configure credentials, APIs, webhooks, middleware, transformations, logging, and application logic.
Test Production Scenarios
Test normal events, duplicate events, bad data, unavailable services, retries, and real end-to-end flows.
Investment
System & API Integration
From $3,500
Pricing depends on the number of systems, API quality, authentication, data mapping, business rules, synchronization direction, workflow complexity, testing, and error-handling requirements.
A simple one-way integration may stay near the entry point. Multi-system synchronization, custom middleware, complex authentication, or high-risk payment and operational flows require a larger scope.

FAQ
Before connecting the systems.
Can you integrate any software?
Not every system provides a usable integration path. The first step is to determine whether the platform provides an API, webhooks, export/import functionality, database access, or another supported method of exchanging data.
What if the software does not have an API?
There may still be options such as webhooks, file-based exchange, scheduled exports, database access, supported plugins, or another vendor-approved method. The right approach depends on the system.
Can two systems stay synchronized both ways?
Yes, when both systems provide the required capabilities, but two-way synchronization is more complex than one-way data flow. It requires clear conflict rules, ownership, duplicate handling, and protection against update loops.
Can you connect Stripe to our application or CRM?
Yes. Stripe APIs and webhooks can support payment, subscription, invoice, customer, and billing workflows. The exact integration depends on which Stripe objects and business events need to connect to the other system.
What happens when one of the systems is offline?
Integrations can be designed with retries, queues, logging, alerts, and exception handling depending on the workflow. Temporary downtime should not automatically mean that important data disappears.
Who maintains the integration after launch?
MWorks can provide ongoing application or infrastructure support where appropriate. This can be useful because third-party APIs, authentication methods, vendor platforms, and business workflows can change over time.

CONNECT THE SYSTEMS
Show us where information is being moved by hand.
Bring the systems involved, the data that needs to move, and what should happen when an event occurs. We can determine whether the right solution is a direct API integration, webhook flow, synchronization process, automation layer, or custom integration service.
