WEBSITES & COMMERCE / WEBSITE REDESIGN
Keep what works. Rebuild what doesn’t.
MindWorks redesigns established business websites with more than the new appearance in mind - content, search visibility, URLs, integrations, performance, and the technical environment are considered as part of the transition.
WEBSITE REDESIGN
From $6,500
A Good Fit
When the existing site is holding the business back.
A redesign makes sense when the website has accumulated technical debt, outdated design, weak structure, inconsistent content, performance problems, or new business requirements that the current site cannot support cleanly.
01
The business has changed
Your services, positioning, customers, or priorities have evolved beyond what the current website communicates.
02
The website feels dated
The visual experience no longer reflects the quality, maturity, or direction of the business.
03
The structure has become messy
Pages, navigation, plugins, content, and features have accumulated without a clear system behind them.
04
Performance is suffering
The site is slow, unstable, difficult to maintain, or carrying technical decisions that no longer make sense.
05
New systems need to connect
CRM, forms, payments, analytics, automation, or business systems need better integration with the website.
06
You cannot simply start over
Existing URLs, search visibility, analytics history, content, and working functionality need to be considered during the transition.
What’s Included
Redesign the website. Understand what
already exists.
A redesign begins with the existing environment
rather than treating the project as if nothing came before it.
Existing Website Audit
Review the current structure, content, functionality, plugins, technical environment, and major issues before the new site is built.
Sitemap & Content Review
Determine what should remain, be reorganized, rewritten, consolidated, removed, or added.
URL Review & Basic Redirect Plan
Review important existing URLs and create basic redirects where agreed URLs change during the redesign.
Theme & Plugin Assessment
Identify what should be retained, replaced, removed, or reconfigured in the new environment.
Analytics Review
Review available analytics and search data where access is provided to help inform the redesign and launch.
Custom Visual Direction
A new design system based on the business today rather than simply reskinning the old website.
WordPress + Divi 5
Modern implementation using Divi 5 with reusable components, variables, presets, and responsive behavior.
Agreed Content Migration
Migration and restructuring of the agreed existing content. The base redesign assumes a manageable site rather than a large-scale migration.
SEO Preservation Fundamentals
Existing search visibility is considered through URL handling, metadata, indexing, structure, redirects, and launch checks.
Staging Environment
The redesigned site is built and reviewed outside the live production website before cutover.
Enhanced Launch QA
Responsive testing, forms, links, redirects, analytics, indexing, integrations, and key production functionality are checked around launch.
30-Day Bug-Fix Period
Implementation defects identified during the first 30 days after launch are corrected as part of the project.
PROTECT WHAT ALREADY WORKS
A redesign should not erase the value already built
Existing websites often contain years of accumulated search visibility, working URLs, analytics history, customer paths, forms, integrations, and business knowledge.
The redesign process identifies what deserves to move forward before the old site is replaced.
01
URL Continuity
Important existing URLs are reviewed before page structures change, with basic redirects created where needed.
02
Search Visibility
Existing organic search signals are considered during content, metadata, indexing, and redirect decisions.
03
Working Functionality
Forms, integrations, analytics, scripts, and business-critical behavior are identified before the new environment replaces them.
04
Controlled Cutover
Development happens in staging so the existing production site can continue operating until the new version is ready to launch.
03
Post-Launch Verification
The redesigned site is checked after deployment for redirects, forms, analytics, indexing, and critical customer paths.
THE REDESIGN PROCESS
Audit first. Replace second.
The existing site provides the starting point.
The goal is to understand what should survive the transition before building what comes next.
Understand the Existing Site
Review pages, URLs, content, analytics, plugins, integrations, functionality, performance, and technical issues.
Decide What Changes
Define the new sitemap, content direction, migration scope, redirects, requirements, visual system, and technical approach.
Rebuild in Staging
Design and implement the new website, migrate agreed content, connect systems, and test without disrupting production.
Launch & Verify
Complete QA, deploy the new site, activate redirects, verify analytics and indexing, and check critical post-launch functionality.
Website Copy Support
Existing copy does not have to stay exactly as it is.
MindWorks can use your current website, business information, and additional source material to create AI-assisted draft copy for redesigned pages.
You review the draft, verify facts and claims, request appropriate revisions, and approve the final content before publication.

FAQ
Before the redesign.
Will our current website stay online during the redesign?
Normally, yes. The redesigned site is built in a staging environment while the existing production site continues operating. The new site replaces it when testing and approval are complete.
Will we lose our Google rankings?
No redesign can guarantee that rankings will remain unchanged. MWorks considers existing URLs, redirects, metadata, structure, indexing, content, and launch checks to reduce unnecessary SEO disruption. Large or high-risk SEO migrations may require additional scope.
What if I do not have a logo?
If there is no usable logo, MWorks can create a simple type-based wordmark treatment so the website project is not blocked. Professional logo development and complete brand identity design are separate scopes.
Can we keep some of our existing pages?
Yes. The redesign process reviews existing content and determines what should remain, be revised, reorganized, consolidated, removed, or replaced.
Do we need to rewrite all of our copy?
Not necessarily. Existing copy can be retained where appropriate. MWorks can also prepare AI-assisted draft copy using the current website and information you provide. You review, verify, revise, and approve the final content. Professional copywriting is separate.
What happens to our old URLs?
Important existing URLs are reviewed during the project. Where URLs change, appropriate basic redirects are created as part of the agreed redesign scope. Large redirect inventories may require additional migration scope.
Can you redesign a site built by another developer or agency?
Yes. The existing WordPress, theme, plugin, hosting, and integration environment is reviewed first so we can determine what should be retained and what should be replaced.
What if the current website is badly broken or compromised?
If the current site has significant technical, malware, stability, or recovery problems, MWorks may recommend starting with the Website Technical Assessment before committing to a redesign path.
